INFINITE BORDERS 10th Anniversary Summer Major Update: Alliance Command System Preview

2025/05/07

Greetings, mighty Lords!

"Now the general who wins a battle makes many calculations in his temple ere the battle is fought. The general who loses a battle makes but few calculations beforehand. Thus do many calculations lead to victory, and few calculations to defeat: how much more no calculation at all!" — Sun Tzu's Art of War - First Plan

In ancient warfare, thorough planning and preparation before the actual battle were essential for consistent success. Similarly, in INFINITE BORDERS, a campaign requires comprehensive pre-battle deployment. To further enhance the strategic experience of alliance warfare and optimize battlefield information display, and allow alliance members to better understand current strategic targets, we will introduce the Alliance Command System, improving alliance command through Alliance Marks and Themed Mail.

  [Alliance Plans, Troop Deployment]

Plan List

We will add a new Plan feature for alliances to merge and communicate objectives. Each plan can include multiple Alliance Marks, with one mark designated as the primary target.

Alliance Chiefs, Vice Alliance Chiefs, Commanders, Assembly Leaders, Vice Leaders, Lineage Patriarchs, and Vice Patriarchs can create a new plan when establishing alliance/assembly/lineage marks or merge newly created marks into existing plans. Plans can be synchronized with the entire alliance or assigned by group (members in unassigned groups cannot view the plan).

As an alliance member, you can check your assigned group's plans in the Plan List and view each plan's history to get a clear understanding of the main battlefields and subsequent operations without sifting through Mail.

Plan Details

After this update, the Themed Mail sending feature will be removed, but existing Themed Mails will remain unaffected.

  [Geographical Stratagems, Adept Strategist]

The Sand Table, a core element of INFINITE BORDERS, serves as the stage for alliance battles and troop deployments. Within the Command System, commanders can zoom in/out to view different strategic information while making real-time command decisions.

The Alliance Plan can be viewed and edited on the World Map, displaying the distribution of members under the current plan to help Commanders execute combat plans based on geographical proximity.

Create Alliance Mark

When creating an Alliance Mark, Commanders can initiate it on either the World Map or the Strategic Map, and freely pan or zoom to view the map during editing to ensure no battlefield information is missed.

Alliance groups are the basic units for implementing Alliance Quests, so we've also optimized the experience for Grouping Managers. Managers can configure members based on geographical distribution, selecting alliance members within a designated distance or from specific commanderies and counties to join the group.

To reduce the burden on the Alliance Chief of editing groups for all members individually, we've added a quick grouping feature that allows all alliance members to be grouped by their affiliated state or commanderies and counties.

With subsequent updates, other Alliance Command-related features will gradually be added to the Command System, including Alliance Mail, Military Strategy, Kingdom Policy, and battle routes, to further enhance the strategic experience in INFINITE BORDERS.

The Alliance Command System update will be released after the routine maintenance on May 14, 2025. Stay tuned!
