Yet when we gaze upon the night sky of history, what truly moves us is often the boundless brilliance of the Milky Way—a collective radiance formed by countless sages who, though perhaps mentioned only briefly in the Historical Records, lived up to their times in their respective fields.

The Historical Records should not only recount the clashing of swords and frozen rivers but also the contention of a hundred schools of thought. To restore the brilliance of these historical sages and present the vibrant era where "stars shone brightly and philosophers contended," we have launched a brand new System—the "Hundred Schools Heroes." From devoted seekers of truth to Literary Scholars wielding mighty pens, from benevolent local officials to master artisans reaching the pinnacle of their craft, all will have the opportunity to appear as "Hundred Schools Heroes." Lords can obtain them For Free by participating in events, reliving their life stories, making choices, and ultimately acquiring a unique Hundred Schools Hero tailored to you.

Next, we will introduce to you, esteemed Lords, the concept of Hundred Schools Heroes, how to acquire and cultivate them, as well as a preview of the upcoming Hundred Schools Heroes event.

    [Brand new Heroes, Grand Debut]

From 11:00 on January 28 to 01:00 on March 2, the first batch of Hundred Schools Heroes will be launched. During the event, Lords can obtain two of the newly released Heroes for free by participating.

The two Hundred Schools Heroes introduced in this event are Zhu Shixing and Zhang Gong. Participate in the event to obtain them immediately and play through their Biography stages.

Zhu Shixing was a prominent monk of the Three Kingdoms period, with the Dharma name Bajie (also known as Zhu Bajie), a native of Yingchuan. He was a pioneer among Han monks who traveled westward in search of Buddhist scriptures. In the second year of Jiaping, Zhu Shixing received full ordination at White Horse Temple in Luoyang and often lectured on the Dao Xing Prajna Sutra. Believing that the existing translation was too brief and incomplete in doctrine, he set out from Yongzhou in the fifth year of Ganlu, traveling west to Khotan (present-day Hotan, Xinjiang), where he obtained a Sanskrit manuscript of the Mahāprajñāpāramitā Sutra containing ninety chapters. He then sent his disciples to deliver the scriptures back to Luoyang, and ultimately passed away in Khotan at the age of 80.。

Zhang Gong was an official of Cao Wei during the Three Kingdoms period, from Dunhuang in Liangzhou. He first served as a Command Clerk of Dunhuang Commandery. At the end of the Eastern Han, chaos erupted in the Hexi region, and Governor Ma Ai died in office. The people recommended Zhang Gong for the position of Acting Commandery Aide. To stabilize the local situation, he sent his son Zhang Jiu to request that Cao Cao appoint a new Governor, and maintained order until the new Governor arrived. During Emperor Wen of Wei's reign, Zhang Gong was appointed Colonel of the Western Regions, enfeoffed as a Secondary Marquis, and posthumously honored as Commandant of the Capital Guards. His family served as officials for generations throughout the Wei and Jin dynasties: his son Zhang Jiu later became Governor of Jincheng, and his grandson Zhang Xue served as Colonel General of Xiongnu in Western Jin, among other posts.

Each Hundred Schools Hero can only be obtained once. They are stored on a separate "Hundred Schools Heroes" tab on the Hero page, do not occupy your Hero storage cap, and cannot be consumed through awakening other Heroes, converting into Stratagem EXP, or similar methods.

The development of Hundred Schools Heroes differs from that of regular Heroes: their attributes and Stratagems can be continually developed and permanently enhanced.

When you obtain a Hundred Schools Hero, you can challenge their exclusive "Biography Stages" in their Biography, reliving their stories and making key choices along the way. Depending on your decisions, the Hero's attributes will receive permanent boosts. How to choose in line with your own judgment to achieve the greatest growth is entirely up to you.

In addition, their attributes can be further refined using "Attribute Insight." Each refinement attempt will alter their attributes to some degree. You can either keep the results or discard the undesired outcome and start a new round of refinement.

Hundred Schools Heroes' Stratagems can be researched using "Stratagem Insight." Their Initial Stratagem is "Elite Veterans." By researching, you can create new, powerful Stratagems. Each research attempt grants 5 entries. Different series of entries grant different effects to the Hundred Schools Heroes' Main Stratagem. When entries from the same series are combined, their effects are amplified. Each Hero can obtain different entries, and through repeated research, you can ultimately unlock the Hero's unique, powerful Main Stratagem.

Attribute Insight and Skill Insight can be acquired via daily login, Daily Rehearsal, and other game features. Aside from attribute and Stratagem, all other development rules for Hundred Schools Heroes (such as Awakening, Troop Type Unlocking, and Troop Type Advancement) are the same as for regular Heroes. Hundred Schools Heroes do not have star levels and therefore cannot be advanced.

    [Main General and Deputy General, Conquer the Battlefield]

Hundred Schools Heroes can be deployed directly as regular Heroes, or assigned as Deputy Generals to support other Heroes with their Main Stratagems, helping Lords achieve victory on the battlefield.

When deployed as a regular Hero, a Hundred Schools Hero can form a team with other Heroes. In this case, they function just like a normal Hero: they gain Hero EXP through battles during the season, level up, receive free attribute points every 10 levels, can use Stratagem EXP to raise their Main Stratagem level, switch troop types, and are reset at the end of the season.

The Deputy General system, introduced as a special feature in the Conquest Season "Northern Expedition to Revive Han," has been widely praised since its launch. Now, combined with Hundred Schools Heroes, this feature is being applied to all seasons. A Hundred Schools Hero can be appointed as the Deputy General to any Hero. The appointed Hero becomes the Main General, and their Second Stratagem will automatically be replaced by the Hundred Schools Hero's Main Stratagem. Unlike the "Northern Expedition to Revive Han" season, the Hundred Schools Hero's level will be temporarily synchronized with the Main General's, so no additional EXP is required to level them separately. At the same time, the Main General's base attributes will be adjusted to: 80% of the Main General's original attributes + 30% of the Deputy General's original attributes.

In all seasons, only Hundred Schools Heroes can be appointed as Deputy Generals. However, in the "Northern Expedition to Revive Han" season, in order to preserve its unique battlefield, both Hundred Schools Heroes and regular Heroes can be appointed as Deputy Generals, and the rules for regular Heroes as Deputy Generals remain unchanged.

The Hundred Schools Heroes system will officially debut with the "Stormy Desert" Lunar New Year version of INFINITE BORDERS on January 28. Amid the grand tides of war in INFINITE BORDERS, what new glory will these Heroes forge? What new experiences will they bring to the Lords? Stay tuned!
