Greetings, mighty Lords!
The Methods of the Sima state, "Don't launch military campaigns in the winter or summer in order to show your love for the people." Even thousands of years ago, our ancestors were aware that battle tactics required paying attention to the laws of nature, keeping track of seasonal changes, and controlling them with decrees associated with solar terms. The ancients planted in spring and harvested in autumn; they had grain and fruit ripen in summer and stored them in winter. They kept careful track of frost, snow, rain and dew, of all manner of nourishment and growth. As such, the production and life cycle of their crops were closely related to the changes in the four seasons. In addition, the wars that occurred during the late Han Dynasty in the Three Kingdoms period, such as "Submerging Xiapi" and "Burning the Red Cliffs," also follow the scientific principle of "seeking advantage and avoiding disadvantage by aligning with weather conditions."
This time, we have brought the concept of seasonal changes into the brand new Conquest Season "Four Seasons' Celestial Phenomena."
Introduction
Tactics are like water, which flows toward lowlands and avoids highlands; victory is achieved by maneuvering to attack weak spots while avoiding the strong. Water’s path is determined by terrain, and tactical victory is determined by the enemy. Therefore, there are neither regular tactical formations nor permanent patterns. He who can seize victory through changes in the enemy might as well be guided by the divine. The five elements are not always equally predominant, and the four seasons make way for each other in turn. Days are cut short and grow long; the moon waxes and wanes.

Four Seasons Gameplay
The weather system affects the changes in different war zones in the Thirteen States of INFINITE BORDERS to some extent. Within general seasons, all kinds of special effects caused by different weathers have certain effects on the strategic decisions of Lords on the battlefield. However, in ancient warfare, the ancients tended to take advantage of the natural law of seasonal changes, resulting in the saying, "seeking advantage and avoiding disadvantage by aligning with weather conditions."
In the new season "Four Seasons' Celestial Phenomena," we will introduce the novel "Four Seasons' Gameplay." The Four Seasons' Gameplay lasts for one season per day, with spring, summer, autumn and winter in turn. Each season has unique buffs: land expansion in spring, territory management in summer, marching in autumn, and recuperation in winter. These buffs will bring Lords a unique management and strategic experience compared to that in general seasons.
In the new season "Four Seasons' Celestial Phenomena," the new Frozen River effect can now occur during the Ice Rain and Snows disasters. Within the disaster range, rivers not present at state or war zone boundaries will transform into a "Frozen" state, which allow them to be occupied.
Special weather will also require novel strategic decision-making from all Lords.
Inherit
In previous seasons, we introduced the Military Contention Tactics and Altar features. Under different weather conditions, Lords can take the initiative to change the map through Military Contention Tactics, which has become one of the factors affecting the outcome of local battlefields.
Meanwhile, the Altar's Prayer effects allow Lords to change the local weather to some extent, which can be used to activate the effects of Military Contention Tactics or delay the opponent's advance. Prayer thus has a considerable impact on the overall battlefield environment.
In the new season "Four Seasons' Celestial Phenomena," we will retain the Military Contention Tactic and Altar features. In close conjunction with the concept of changing seasons, some adjustments have been made to the effects of Military Contention Tactics. In addition, Prayer effects will also have some additional buffs depending on the season.
This new season "Four Seasons' Celestial Phenomena" follows the War Zone settings. War Zones have been opened up between states. War Zones are all connected together and accessible from all sides, leading to a larger strategic space.
War Zones belong to states and counties, but cannot be used as a base for raising an army, and nor can Subcities be constructed on them. At the same time, all passes have been paired up and are situated on either side of the War Zone. Each pass guards the only way to enter each state from the War Zone.
Prospect
“Now that the country is at peace, the people are joyous and carefree. In the spring, they go hunting in the forests, and in the autumn, they practice military maneuvers. This is to ensure that they never forget the art of war.”
How will the brand new four-seasons system affect battles in the "Four Seasons' Celestial Phenomena" season? We can't wait to see how this exciting season will unfold as our Lords make strategic choices.
