Battle at Red Cliffs Season Adjustment Preview

2024/07/04

Greetings, mighty Lords!
It's been half a year since the launch of the Battle at Red Cliffs Season. In this Season, Cao Cao holds the Central Plain in the north and targets the Red Cliffs. Various Legends react accordingly, drawing on their own strengths. Some confront Cao Cao with raging flames and the natural barrier of the Yangtze River, while others march forth from Xiliang and Hanzhong to establish new battlefields to influence the development of the era.

To further enhance the Lords' intra-season experience, immersion, and fun, we will make the following adjustments to the Battle at Red Cliffs Season:

   [Non-Cao Cao Faction Tally Adjustments]
In the Battle at Red Cliffs Season, we hope that non-Cao Cao factions can unite all-pervasively to fight against Cao Cao and share in the fruits of victory based on their contributions. Therefore, we will adjust the War Merit tally for non-Cao Cao factions and determine available Conquest slots based on the number of State Capitals occupied by each faction.
At Season Tally, if Cao Cao's faction occupies Luoyang, other factions will be rewarded as follows:

Faction Occupation Value at Season Tally
(Historical Castle Level in the Season ≥ 8)

   [Naval Battle Adjustments]
In the Battle at Red Cliffs Season, the Towered Ship is an important means of recovering Morale in water. However, only officials and governors of Alliances can use it, and multiple Towered Ships cannot be used simultaneously, making it difficult to conduct large-scale naval battles. To allow more players to experience naval combat, we have removed the restrictions on using Towered Ships.
After the adjustment, there will be no position or quantity restrictions on Towered Ships, reducing the difficulty of recovering Morale and Durability in water. Lords can use these ships as necessary.

Additionally, to reflect the fact that Cao Cao's soldiers were not adept at naval combat, we have adjusted the values of Cao Cao's faction trait "Chain Assault" to enhance its faction features.

Before Adjustment

The navy's Morale is boosted by 5 while in the Chain Assault combat status and reduced by 5 when not.

After Adjustment

The navy's Morale is boosted by 10 while in the Chain Assault combat status and reduced by 10 when not.

   [Map Adjustments]
To allow more Lords to participate in and experience naval battles, we have increased the number of berths distributed along both sides of the river, making the competition for each river segment more intense.
Additionally, when Lords choose Cao Cao's faction, they can further select, rather than be randomly assigned, the state in which to raise an army and found a force. This allows Lords and their allies to gather together and fight side by side.

The above content represents all planned adjustments to the Battle at Red Cliffs season at this time, and is subject to further revision. The above adjustments will take effect in the Battle at Red Cliffs season starting after July 17. Seasons already in progress will not be affected.
The registration for the first batch of the brand new Battle at Red Cliffs season will be available on July 11. With this adjustment, we hope that all Lords can enjoy a richer game experience and we look forward to your performance in the brand new Battle at Red Cliffs season.

Finally, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to all Lords for your love and support towards INFINITE BORDERS!
