Greetings, mighty Lords!
"When words cannot be heard, drums are used; when sights cannot be seen, banners are used."
—Junzheng
In ancient warfare, drums and banners were commonly used as means of battlefield command. The sound of drums and horns, and the sight of banners, allowed the army to gather and move as one. To enable Lords to make more direct command plans based on terrain information and battlefield situations, and to better convey them to Allies, we intend to add a combat route function in the map's Strategic Mode and optimize the Alliance Mark experience.
[New Combat Route in Strategic Mode]
Lords can zoom in on the map to magnify their view and enter Strategic Mode. To assist Commanders in conveying combat commands to Allies charging in the forefront, we will add a combat route function in Strategic Mode:
Officials of organizations like Kingdoms, Alliances, Assemblies, and Lineages can click on any tile of Land in Strategic Mode to draw a combat route. Each Official can draw up to 4 routes simultaneously, and the drawn routes are only visible to members within the organization.
There are two modes for route drawing: free drawing and connection drawing. In free drawing mode, a route is automatically generated based on the trajectory of the Lord's swipe on the map. In connection mode, up to four land coordinates can be selected, and a route is generated according to the sequence. Additionally, the Lord can freely choose the style and color of the route based on tactical needs, making it easier to distinguish between different battle commands.
Additionally, combat routes are equipped with reminder-setting and target-notifying functionality. Lords can conveniently plan out when to execute combat and promptly notify relevant organization members.
[Alliance Mark Optimization]
The Alliance Mark is a crucial tool for conveying battle objectives and plays an irreplaceable role in alliance siege and battle plans. We have optimized the planning experience for the Alliance Mark: when creating a mark, you can enter the Map Planning Mode, select designated members within range through the World Map, and create respective subgroups. This facilitates the division of labor within the alliance when there are multiple expansion targets.
Furthermore, after this optimization, Commanders can directly add Alliance Marks to Cities and checkpoints on the World Map, making it more convenient to arrange siege plans.
Information transmission plays a crucial role in command. To further enhance information synchronization during command, we have added the ability to share Alliance Marks via Mail. The situation as seen by the Commander via surrounding Alliance Marks, from the Stratagem Map to the World Map, can be synchronized by Mail to the entire Alliance. What the Commander sees is what the entire Alliance sees.
The above Alliance Mark optimizations will also be adjusted for Assemblies, Lineages, and Kingdoms.
We look forward to Lords experiencing a more realistic and convenient command experience from strategic expansion to tactical advancement in INFINITE BORDERS. The above combat route function and Alliance Mark optimization will take effect after the maintenance update on September 4. What changes will this bring to the battlefield situation? Let's wait and see.
