This is a walkthrough on how to lay siege in INFINITE BORDERS. In this article, we will explain how to lay siege in order. If you want to know how to besiege Cities, or explain the Siege mechanics to new players, you must read this article.

How to Lay Siege

①Join Guilds

To lay siege, you need to Join Guilds first. At the start of the season, Joining Guilds invitations will flow into your State's Chat. We recommend you join either an Alliance that has caught your attention or a strong Alliance.

②Construct Fortresses around the City

When the siege draws near, you will receive a Siege Schedule Letter from your Alliance. We recommend that you construct sufficient Fortresses while checking the Schedule. You might want to name the Fortresses after your target City. This will make it easier to Assail your Fortresses in the list.

Note that you cannot construct Fortresses on City Area Land Tiles

A City consists of a Central Land Tile and its surrounding City Area Land Tiles. . City Area Land Tiles are defended by strong Garrisons, and it will be impossible to construct Fortresses on these tiles even when you occupy them. So, make sure to send your Troop to the right location when expanding your territory.

③Occupy the City Area and approach the Central Area

To occupy a City, you need to occupy its Central Land Tile first. Before the siege, occupy the City Area Land Tiles first to close in on the Central Land Tile. City Area Land Tiles are defended by 2 Garrison Troops with the same Strength as the Central Land Tile.

④Wipe out the Garrison Troops

In a siege, you first wipe out the Garrison Troops, and then reduce the City Durability to 0. Dispatch your Main Troop as scheduled by your Alliance to wipe out the Garrison Troops.

Check the arrival time of your Wipe Out Troop

Your Troop's arrival time is displayed on the March Confirmation page. Make sure that your Troop's arrival time is the same or later than the time set by your Alliance.

⑤After wiping out the Garrison, use a Siege Troop to reduce Durability

When the Garrison Troops are wiped out, you should reduce the City Durability before the Garrison Restore Time falls to 0. Battles occur every time the Durability is reduced, so make sure the Siege Troop has plenty of Strength.

The recommended Strength of a Siege Troop is the City's Strength+2000.

   Prepare an Wipe Out Troop and Siege Troop

During the siege, we will use an Wipe Out Troop to wipe out the Garrison and a Siege Troop to reduce Durability. As the City Level increases, so will the number of Troops needed to lay siege. So we should prepare Troops based on the size of our Alliance.

Wipe Out Troops

Wipe Out Troops are primarily for capturing Land Tiles and fighting Garrisons. You can use one of your strongest Troops as a Wipe Out Troop. If the City is at Lv.6 or above, you should avoid using Troops below Lv.40.

Siege Troop

The Siege Troop should be formed on the basis of the Siege attribute instead of Combat Power. The Siege Troop will come into play when the Extermination Troop has wiped out the Garrison Troops. We recommend a Siege Troop consisting of Heroes with Infantry as they tend to have a higher Siege Attribute.
