What are Stratagems?
Stratagems are equivalent to Skills
In INFINITE BORDERS, Stratagems are much like what we refer to as Skills. Every Hero starts with an Initial Stratagem.
Stratagem slots are unlocked when certain conditions are met
Apart from the Initial Stratagem, each Hero will unlock an additional Stratagem slot when they reach Lv.5 or awaken. **
However, awakening a Hero requires them to first reach Lv.20 and upgrade their Initial Stratagem (the Stratagem that comes with the Hero) to Lv.10. Therefore, it's essential to enhance your Heroes to equip 3 Stratagems.
Use Stratagem EXP to increase Stratagem Level
Stratagem EXP can be used to raise Stratagem Level. Increasing Stratagem Level enhances the Stratagem Effect and Launch Rate. The higher the Stratagem Level, the more Stratagem EXP is needed for upgrades.
Stratagems have Effective Distance
Just like Heroes' Attack Range, Stratagems also have an Effective Distance. Stratagems only affect targets within their Effective Distance. Additionally, since Stratagems will randomly select valid targets within this range, it's necessary to consider Heroes' Attack Range and their Stratagems' Effective Distance when equipping Stratagems.
Stratagems have a learning limit
Each type of Stratagem comes with a set number of times it can be learned. As long as this limit is not exceeded, you can equip the same Stratagem on multiple Heroes. Furthermore, removing a Stratagem from a Hero will restore the learning count for that Stratagem.
Stratagem Types
Stratagems are divided into four types
Stratagems are divided into four types, namely Active, Passive, Command, and Pursuit. Note that Passive and Command Stratagems have a 100% Launch Rate, while Active and Pursuit Stratagems have a chance-based Launch Rate.
Additionally, some Stratagems have restrictions on troop type, and they may not be equipped if the troop type does not match the Stratagem's requirements.

Attack and Strategic Attack
There are two types of attacks for Stratagems that deal damage to enemies: Attack and Strategic Attack. Attack is affected by ATK, while Strategic Attack is affected by Ingenuity.
Before equipping Stratagems, it's advisable to check Heroes' attributes to see which type of Stratagem is more suitable.
When not specified, the attack type defaults to Attack
For instance, Stratagems like Fierce Attack that deal damage to enemies are typically of the Attack type, and are therefore associated with ATK. As for Stratagems affected by Ingenuity, there are usually in-game explanations that can be used as references.
How to Equip Stratagems
Tap a Stratagem slot and select the desired Stratagem
Before equipping a Stratagem, make sure there is an available Stratagem slot. If the Stratagem slot displays a "+" symbol, it means you can equip a new Stratagem.
Simply tap the "+" symbol and then select the Stratagem you want to equip on the Stratagem Learning page. In addition, if you want to obtain more Stratagems, you can do so by dismantling Heroes.
How to Remove Stratagems
1. Tap the Stratagem you want to remove
To remove a Stratagem, tap it on the Hero page.
2. Tap the "×" button in the top right corner of the Stratagem icon
Next, locate the "×" button in the top right corner of the Stratagem icon and tap it. The system will prompt you to confirm the removal of the Stratagem. Then, tap Confirm.
※ When you remove a Stratagem, you will receive 80% of Stratagem EXP back, and your learning count will be restored by 1.
How to Switch Stratagem Icons

Tap Graphic Settings in theSystem Settings
To modify a Stratagem icon, tap Graphic Settings in the System Settings.
Set any Stratagem icon of your choice and restart the game
After entering the Graphic Settings, choose your preferred Stratagem icon at the bottom of the page and set it. After switching the Stratagem icon, you need to restart the game for the new Stratagem icon to take effect.
